About the work
Every number in these dashboards belongs to the public. This is how we hold ourselves accountable — sharing our progress openly with the people of North Carolina, in the strong years and the hard ones.
Behind each figure is a real school with real children. So, we publish results as they are calculated, alongside the years around them, because one number on its own was never the whole story.
Start anywhere. Every dashboard lets you narrow all the way down to a single school, and every one of them will tell you where the number came from.
Numbers tell you where we stand
Our strategic plan tracks our progress to make North Carolina’s public schools the best in the nation. It defines the work, establishes roles and actions, and reports progress to the public — the same way these dashboards do.
